Woah, long time no post.

Okay, much has happened from first putting up these two entries. I finished off tons of new jewelry, I now make bottlecap pendants to sell at conventions with the use of resin, and I now have officially moved out of my family's home in Mississippi. I live in Louisiana and it thrills me to think I can be around such inspiration for jewelry work as well as friends.

So, onto the entry itself:

I started doing more work with beadwork and I'm trying to wrap my brain around wire wrapping. I figure if I can understand how chain links up and how to bend it to the shape I need, I should be able to wire wrap. So, I have one of two options here...either learn to wire wrap or I take on the epic task of chain mail. I thought about it, and chain mail it is. I'm looking to make a tunic. Here's to hoping this will be worth it over time.

I'm learning how to knit. It's a thing of trial and error. My first try ended up in failure so I unraveled it. I think I should start watching videos on what to do. I think I'll get better over time. I'm wanting to make scarves for a few friends that cosplay. I'm hoping I can get good enough to make a Doctor Who scarf. Because those are the most amazing things I have ever seen. I mean, it's up there with Harry Potter!

Which, I'm going to go into my next big train of thought. If I can get good at knitting, I should knit myself a cable knit costume. Rinoa's duster. I don't like her character, but I would like to try it for my own personal enjoyment.

I kind of gave up on the thought of sewing. I don't think I have the skill level or the patience to sew. But, that's another story entirely.

I guess this is all for me, I hope it doesn't take another year to post another entry.

Second Entry - RESIN!

I have started working with resin! I'm having boat loads of fun learning what to do and not to do. I am learning that cleanup for this stuff is extensive and messy. It's very time consuming.

I'd like to also take the time to say this: If you don't follow the directions, it will end up costing you more than anything else.

I found this out the hard way. I really did.

Enough of the warnings! On with the entry. You can embed anything into this stuff; candy, sharp objects, etc. I love how versatile this stuff is. I went crazy and bought sugar sprinkles, button charms, letter beads, and I'm still going and finding more. I had a few learning experiences, but I have a feeling this will be a good idea and a good thing to sell, no?

I have a gallery set up for the pendants on Deviantart. For anyone interested.

I am selling at a convention in Louisiana called MechaCon, and one on the coastline of Mississippi called Coast Con. Here's to hoping I can actually make some money off of these ventures into a little business!

I have a commission for a necklace from Ouran Host Club for a Haruhi cosplayer. The necklaces in question look a little like this:

I found a seller on etsy who had those tags up for sale. I snatched some. I have the long beads as well. I just need to remember how to use crimp beads for this thing. I am stringing the necklace rather than making links. I'll see how this goes. The cosplayer needs it by next month. I'm hoping to have more posted on it soon.

There's also another couple of prospects with the Howl necklace. Jeez...I didn't realize it'd sell so well. Makes me happy to know I did a good job.

First post

I have to say, I'm working on many things. I have made a few things as well.

First, let me go way back and show everything that I have done...

I have worked with many different things and experimented to make things "geeky." I'm currently trying to branch out and more cosplay related jewelry. The first piece I ever did seems to be a huge hit, Howl's necklace and earrings. I am very glad they sell well, it starts to make think I'm doing something right!

I also have many miscellaneous other things I have either adapted from other things, or I made. Things dealing with dragons, evil fruit, butterflies, Sanrio, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Katamari, and other things.

Mostly everything I have made that I could show case ends up on my Deviantart page!

I have other works, but this is just a sampler of all the oddities I've come up with. I try so hard to put a variety into what I do. I have to keep it fun for myself and everyone else. I usually find myself on aim screaming "HEY OMG DID YOU SEE THIS!!!" and I link my friends. Bless them. They put up with so much from me and my spastic ways.

I really found another insanely popular item I tend to make, it's my paopu fruit necklace...

Now, I love this one! I wear the first one I ever made around many times a week. Of course, I do enjoy Kingdom Hearts as a game, so this necklace is a reminder of that. xD;

These are things I either create on a whim, or I plot out and it seems to work. Now, however, I really want to focus on future projects. And while these sometimes do not sell, I shouldn't dwell on it for too long and hit the ground running.

Future projects do include resin. I am playing around with it for the first time ever. The first two tries have been disastrous. I did not either comprehend the directions or whatever. I can say that this is a learning experience. For now, youtube tutorials are helping. I made my first batch that I hope is a success tonight. Hopefully this will prove fruitful.

I possibly should list a few things to look forward too, yes? Okay here we go:

~Costume pieces for Death Note. These will include Mello's rosary, Misa's fleur de lis.

~Pieces from Final Fantasy. FFX's very own Lulu. I am going to try and make her full set of necklaces. Irvine Kinneas has a necklace and earring that is never replicated. I'm hoping to find other references to make...maybe FFIX? It depends.

~More Ghibli jewelry! I am working on ideas. More than likely sootballs will be made. I love those guys!

~Sailor Scout chockers. These would be fun to recreate. If only for the fact that I do adore Sailor Moon!

That is all I can think of at the moment. So, with this as the last of the entry, I bid everyone that happens upon this adieu.
